Salary Range: $20,000 and rising based on years experience and facility profitability. $2000 and rising based on years experience and school district pay scales. Turnover: Moderate/Moderate Opportunity for Advancement: My particular facility has a small administrative staff with little room for advancement, however, larger facilities may have more opportunities depending on the corporate structure. I aspire to be a Head Varsity Coach some day. Tips for Students Aspiring Towards a Similar Position: Recreation facilities require long hard hours for small wages. A deep love for recreational activities and providing public service is key in getting the most satisfaction from this type of position/ Coaching is much more about developing character qualities than it is about earning the wages.
