Coach Don has been coaching fast-pitch softball for 13 years. He is also a certified ASA umpire for softball and certified in all sanctions of baseball umpiring. He has a deep understanding of the game and is a great teacher and mentor. Coach Don lives in Canal Fulton, Ohio with his wife, Wendy and their children, Erika and Dylan. His daughter Erika is the starting pitcher for the 18U Wildcat Pride Purple Softball team and has been playing for Coach Don since she was four years old. Coach Don is very active in his community with the community sports and recreation department. He is in charge of the umpires that officiate all Northwest community youth softball and baseball leagues. During the summer, Coach Don also volunteers his time to work with young people to strengthen their skills on the field so that they are competitive in try-outs and in competitions. Coach Don also is an NCAA official umpire for the Kent State University softball team games. He is a great mentor to me and supporter of all of my endeavors and is there to always give me advice and encouragement in my professional and life goals.
